‘THE STARTER KIT OF TOOLS GAVE ME A HEAD START IN MY CAREER!’
Tetteh Kwaku Evans, Metalworking student, Technology Solutions Center (TSC), Goaso
At 20 years old, Tetteh Kwaku Evans (on the right in the photo) faced financial barriers that limited his educational opportunities. “Seeing my peers making progress in their education while I struggled due to financial limitations was discouraging. However, this project has given me skills and opportunities I never had before. The free tuition—thanks to the Gered Gereedschap scholarship—was a huge benefit, allowing me to learn without costs. Otherwise, it would never have been possible! Now I’m proud of my achievements and the skills I’ve gained, which surpass some of my peers who continued their education without vocational training.”
Tetteh also appreciates the practical training and the starter kit of tools: “Working on practical assignments—just like in the real world—and receiving a starter kit of metalworking tools upon graduation has given me a head start in my career. I’m excited about the opportunities ahead of me and grateful for the support.”
